OVERVIEW
The DTV Gateway enables the Vision² system to use the Television Distribution System (TDS) as a source for TV content. The three TDS transmitters (DVB-T, DVB-S and QAM/ATSC) can be paired with the DTV Gateway to convert a digital TV signal to a format than can be managed by Vision². Each DTV Gateway supports up to six transport streams, which can each contain one or multiple channels.

COMMON APPLICATION
Businesses that want to broadcast over-the-air digital TV signals via a Corporate LAN to displays that are already being used for Vision². It can also deliver a TV signal to PCs on the LAN.

FEATURES

  • Segments High-Bandwidth Transport Streams – Delivers each channel as a separate multicast stream which can be distributed over a Corporate LAN
  • Supports Several Video Streams – One DTV Gateway device can support three DVB-T or DVB-S transmitters or six QAM transmitters providing support for up to six transport streams reducing the amount of hardware needed to supply multiple channels
  • Extends Support of DVB-S and QAM to Vision² – DTV Gateway allows Vision² to support additional types of digital video broadcast technologies
  • Enables Delivery of Live TV to a PC – DTV Gateway can be used without any additional Vision² hardware to deliver a Television Distribution System signal to PCs
  • Provides Easy Upgrade Path from TDS to Vision² – Allows TDS users to easily add the capabilities of Vision² without having to discard their TDS hardware
